The Innovation Forum is an effort to support development of
a National Innovation Strategy. The Forum is holding a series of meetings
produced by IEI and sponsored by Earl Technology Group (ETG).
Currently, the Forum is being produced in conjunction with the National
Academy of Sciences, and meetings are held at the Academy.
The Forum brings together experts and practitioners to
discuss policies to support innovation. Issue areas include technology
policy, IP, state economic development, tax and macro-economic policy, trade
policy, training and education, and much more.
Designed to provide the maximum discussion and minimum
hot air/pre-scripted responses, The Forum brings in experts for a 10-15 minute
introduction to a subject, followed by a free-flowing give-and-take. The
Forum is
non-partisan.
The Forum aims to meet on the second Friday of every month.
The next meeting will be July 27th, at the National Academy, and will focus
on utility-level solar power.
